Handing Out Awards With a Little Character "Help"

Usually I do something special for my award posts. Some little story that portrays the awards and passes them on in an entertaining way. This time I'm not doing that. I really want to get this post done, but I don't have any especially creative ideas for doing so-

"I wish that had been the case when she sent us into an orchard of possessed trees," Zoie says.

"Yes. Or perhaps when she almost killed me by nearly dropping me into a horde of soldiers," Lico agrees mildly.

...

Ahem. Now as I was saying, I'm jumping straight to the awards. Firstly, Ella generously gave me two awards. For them I have to share seven things about myself-

"I for one think she owes us," Zoie interrupts again.

Lico makes a faint noise of agreement.

"I would like to share seven facts about myself with the blogosphere. I think I deserve that." Zoie's hands are on her hips, her fingers drumming against her sword hilt. "Don't you think she should give us that, Lico?"

"If that's what you would like," he mutters.

"Lico! Quit looking around. There's nothing here for you to steal. Unless..." Zoie looks my way.

Fine. Just tell them your facts.

"Thank you very much, ymmis." She redoes her bun then addresses the masses.

  1. I never wear baggy clothes. They're impractical and tend to hold water when you are thrown into a river.
  2. Food is one of my most favorite things. In fact, that Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award is looking very good right now. Lico, would you please remind me to ask the drafu for a strawberry tart?
  3. Speaking of, I have a drafu seed as a pet. I've been meaning to plant it, but I haven't found the right spot yet.
  4. I have banned white flowers from being planted around the castle. I do not wish to see them when I gaze out my bedroom window.
  5. I am not merely Zoie. I am Zoie the Fourteenth. It is a name of great expectations. All the previous Zoies have been memorable in their own right.
  6. Lico and I are always together. Of course, that's because we are bonded. It's a land dryad thing.
  7. You are not impressed, I see. Well, here's something that is certain to catch your interest. When I was four years old I started a war by refusing to kiss the air before saying a certain member of the Nouran royal family's name.

You've shared your facts now, Zoie. Please let me finish my post.

"We shall see," she says.

-sigh- I'm passing each of these awards on to one person. For the Versatile Blogger Award, my critique partner Steph Sinkhorn. For the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award, Angela Brown.

The next award was presented to me by Trisha. Really though it should have been the other way around as she has been a much better commenter than I have been of late. However, I am working to fix that.

"Notice how she is more focused on that than editing our story," Lico interjects. "My dialogue really should be more eloquent."

...

I am supposed to pass this on to other great commenters. Of course, Michael Offutt is the best. He comments on almost every single one of my posts which is why I'm giving him this award even though he has already received it. I am also giving this award to Laura W., a fellow teen writer.

"Oh! Didn't she think my story sounded interesting?" Zoie asks.

Yes, she did. Now if I may?

"Do you remember the days when she used to be happy to talk to us, Zoie?" Lico asks.

"Like it was a mere ten days ago."

...

Lastly, Michael Offutt gave me the Kreativ Blogger Award. To accept this award, I must:

  • Thank and link back to the person who presented me with the award.
  • Answer the ten questions below.
  • Share ten random facts/thoughts about myself.
  • Nominate seven worthy blogs for the Kreativ Blogger Award.

So, Michael, thank you kindly for this award.

Lico snorts. "Of course you're grateful. That's why it took you six months to get around to telling him."

...

And here are the questions:

  1. What is your favourite song? I don't have one. I have many. On YouTube I have a whole playlist of videos that I listen to while I write. It contains over a hundred songs.
  2. What is your favourite dessert? Again, don't really have one. But chocolate almond is my favorite ice cream.
  3. What ticks you off? When people interrupt me while I'm reading a good book to tell me that the book is good. Also, when people talk to me like I'm an idiot.
  4. When you're upset what do you do? It depends what I'm upset about and the degree of my upsetedness. Sometimes I squeeze something, like a pillow, sometimes I have to scream or hit something, sometimes I just have to sit somewhere until I calm myself down.
  5. Which is/was your favourite pet? Well, cats are my favorite type of pet.
  6. Which do you prefer black or white? It depends on what we're talking about. Cats? Black, definitely.
  7. What is your biggest fear? Spiders in the shower with me. ;) Actually, it's the thought of what people can do.
  8. What is your attitude mostly? I'm generally upbeat or kind of indifferent in a thoughtful sort of way.
  9. What is perfection? Something that is undefinable because everyone views it differently.
  10. What is your guilty pleasure? I don't have one. If I take pleasure it in, I don't feel guilty about watching or reading or eating or whatevering it.

"Now I know why you write," Zoie says.

And why is that?

"Your characters are quite a bit more interesting than you are."

Is that so? Then perhaps you would like to provide three more facts to give us a total of ten in this post.

"I would, but for your audience's sake, I think Lico should try."

Lico frowns. "And why would I want to share things about myself with a potentially quite large group of people?"

Because I can do it for you.

His lips move in an almost curl. "Very well."

  1. Though I can walk and live on land, I must be close to running water at all times.
  2. My previous profession and now part time hobby is the, ah, finding and trading or selling of valuable goods.
  3. Most of the profit from those valuable goods goes toward tailored suits.

I have already mentioned four worthy blogs in this post. For a total of seven, I am giving this award to Kate Coursey at Weaving Colors, Trisha at W O R D + S T U F F, and Teralyn Pilgrim at A Writer's Journey.

This concludes my award post which means I'm finally caught up. There are no more obligations tucked into my draft folder. My blog will once again be in complete order as soon as I finish updating my labels!

"Does this mean you'll have more time for us? You know you're itching to return to our book. It's part of the reason we're bothering you so much," Zoie says.

I told you, next year! (Just between me and you, I think Zoie has gotten a little uppity since she- Damn. I've said too much.)

Paper Mountain Awards (Behind the Scenes)

You come home from work and, flopping down on the couch, flip on your TV. A talk show pops up. It's already about half over. The two interviewees look familiar. You wrack your brain, trying to remember. And then it comes to you. That program you went to see! The Paper Mountain Awards.

The two girls sit on a couch facing the show's host. One is in an all purple shirt and skirt getup. The second is in a grey pantsuit. They're sitting as far apart from each other as they can.

"I've got some questions from your fans in my hand here." The host waves a paper in the air. "How about we answer them?"

Brooklynn sits up straighter and Brooke leans forward eagerly.

"Okay. Michael Offutt asks, 'Who are three of your favorite followers and why? Who do you feel deserves more followers?'"

Both of the girls open their mouths to answer, but the host quickly cuts them off. You can see he's learned from experience how they fight. "Brooke, why don't you answer the first question. And, Brooklynn, you can answer the second."

Brooke's smile nearly splits her face. You can't tell if it's because she's excited about the question, or if she's just happy to get to answer first.

"While we love and appreciate all of our fans, there are a few who stand out. The first that comes to mind is Michael Offutt, who asked this very question. He watches all of our shows, reads all of our interviews, and is always lending us encouragement. Trisha is another great supporter. She's been with us almost since the beginning. And last, but not least, Angelina C. Hansen. She doesn't always send us mail, but she's there when it counts."

Brooklynn jumps in almost before Brooke finishes her sentence. "The following people are just three out of many who I feel deserve more followers. Teralyn Pilgrim's articles are always informative and her writing style is refreshing. Angela Scott is hilarious, but supplies good information at the same time. And you can always trust her to be up-to-date on the latest zombie craze. Lastly, I feel the folks over at NA Alley deserve more followers. They support a great cause and the more people that know about the New Adult genre the better."

The host nods, smiling. Looking toward you, he says, "We'll post information about all of these people on our website after the show." Then he looks down at the paper in his hand again. "We have one more question from Michael. Are you ready?"

Both girls give the affirmative.

"Tell us four little known facts about anything. What other 'smart cookies' do you think would have four facts to share?' Okay, Brooklynn, give us two facts and one person. Then, Brooke, you do the same." The host looks up expectantly.

Brooklynn pushes a strand of hair behind her ear and looks straight ahead as if reciting. "One: Male seahorses carry eggs in a pouch until they hatch. Two: Swear words are stored in the same part of the brain as laughter. The person I choose is Carrie Butler."

There is a smattering of clapping from the audience and Brooklynn beams.

Brooke rolls her eyes. "Anyway. One," she holds up a finger, "I'm scared of waiters. And two," she holds up a second finger, "I love pajama pants. As for my person, I nominate Madeline Bartos." Then she lowers her voice, "And hopefully she'll have more interesting facts than Brooklynn's."

Brooklynn glares and opens her mouth, but the host quickly interrupts. Smart man, you think.

"We have one more question. Anna Waggner and Laura both ask, 'What are ten things about you that you'd like to share and who are six people you'd like to know more about?' Brooke, why don't you do the sharing? Give us eight things since you gave us two already.  And, Brooklynn, you can name the people."

Brooke appears pleased at being given the longer assignment. She sets her elbow on her knee and touches her index finger to her chin. Then she starts talking and it's as if someone hit fast forward, she talks so fast.

"Well, the walls of my room are two different shades of purple, two dark, two light. My closet is color-coordinated according to the order of the rainbow. Cheddar-flavored pretzels are currently my favorite snack. Three most anticipated shows right now are Glee, The Walking Dead, and NCIS. I collect porcelain dolls, of which currently there are thirteen. Thanks to my best friend, I sing my phone number anytime I need to remember it. I still haven't read PRIDE AND PREJUDICE even though I've been watching The Lizzie Bennett Diaries since the beginning. And, my drink of choice is Coke."

She's done in less than a minute and you can tell the host is amazed, his eyes wide and his lips slightly parted. Brooklynn doesn't look the least bit fazed. Instead, she begins naming people.

"Tania Walsh, Tizzy Potts, Kate Coursey, Rachel Morgan, Chantele Sedgwick, and Kaylie Austen. These are all people we've crossed paths with a few times or are fans of ourselves. It would be great to learn more about them."

This has given the host time to recover, to let his eyes shrink back to normal size. He rubs his hands against his knees, looks into the camera again, and says, "That's all we have time for today. Be sure to check out our website after the show to see those facts and to learn more about the people Brooklynn listed. Let's give a round of applause for our two guests!"

There's a shot of the studio audience clapping with the show's theme song playing over it. Then, Brooke and Brooklynn stand on the stage, waving. The credits start on the side of the screen.

You pick up your remote and start searching for another show.

The Paper Mountain Awards (#1)

The scene: You are in a theater, seated in your favorite spot. You have the perfect view. Hundreds of seats filled with writers surround you. A white curtain is drawn across the stage. A chime sounds and all the quiet conversations stop. The lights dim. Anticipation wells up inside you. The curtain draws back...

"Welcome to the Paper Mountain Awards," a high voice bounces through the speakers. "I'm your host, Brooke." A spotlight shines down on the stage, illuminating a short blonde girl in a purple dress.

"Excuse me, but I believe I'm the host," another voice speaks up and a second light snaps on. A girl exactly like the first stands there, in a grey dress, hands on her hips.

"Brooklynn, I thought we agreed this was my-"

"Tonight's first award was proposed by Tara Tyler. She may not always say much, but when she speaks, you better listen. That's why, when she suggested this award for our show, we jumped straight on it. Now, without any further ado, the winners of the The Versatile Blogger are... are..." She pats her dress, searching.

"Ahem," Brooke clears her throat. "Are you looking for this?" She dangles a white envelope between her fingers.

"Give me that!"

"No." Brooke calmly flicks open the envelope and starts to read. "And the winners are Kadie Kinney, Teralyn Pilgrim, and Tizzy Potts!"

You clap politely with everyone else as the writers walk onstage to accept their awards. The applause makes it impossible to hear what Brooklynn is shouting. At least from your seat. Brooke seems to have heard her.

The girl in the purple dress rolls her eyes and says, "Fine. You can announce the next award." She holds out a second envelope.

Brooklynn snatches it out of her hand and huffs, but puts a smile on her face when she addresses the audience. "This next award is one we all know and love." She pauses, her lips still parted, and leans toward the audience before continuing. "That's right, it's the One Lovely Blog Award. The privilege of giving away this award was given to us by Laura Barnes. Which makes sense since she's as lovely as they come. Am I right?"

There are some cheers from the back of the auditorium. Holding the envelope where everyone can see, Brooklynn opens the envelope and slowly extracts a stiff card. The words are too small to read from where you sit, but there's no need. Brooklynn reads them for you. "The winners of the One Lovely Blog Award are Jessica Sayler, Kate Coursey, and Rachel Morgan!"

Brooke wheels the awards out on a small trolley as the writers make their way onto the stage. Brooklynn reaches to take them, but Brooke pulls them away. Though her lips barely move, she's still wearing a mic. "You announced the winners so I'm going to give out the award."

And then the fighting starts. "Just give me the award." "This was supposed to be my show anyway." "Just give it me!" "No!" "I said give-"

Then the lights go out and the curtain drops. Another chime sounds, overriding over the sound of the two fighting girls. A rumbling voice announces, "Thank you for watching the Paper Mountain Awards. Congratulations to all our winners. We hope to see you next time!"

You can still hear the girls screeching at each other in the background.

Like the Polar Express, but Better

The conductor gives her last call, the train whistle blows. You run across the platform, holding your hat to your head, suitcase flying behind you. You jump through the open doorway just in time. The conductor smiles at you. "First stop, Cherie Colyer. Look to your left for some fine examples of blogosphere scenery."

The other passengers oooh...
and ahh...

and oooh some more.

"You should take your seat. You'll be much more comfortable." You follow the conductor up front and slide into an empty seat. She stands, beaming in front of the whole car, her body moving naturally with the rhythm of the train.

"Next stop is Theresa Milstein," she informs everyone. Then she leans down to whisper in your ear. "Of course, we won't really be stopping there. It's haunted, you know. The old houses are filled with vampires I hear." She straightens up, her face never changing expression, and winks at you. The town whizzes by. The place definitely looks scary. No one seems upset that you didn't stop.

"We are now entering the town of Trisha-" The conductor catches herself on one of the poles as the train lurches left to right. The wheels squeak horribly and you throw your hands over your ears. "And by the looks of it we're going to be staying here a while."

She slides open the door and pokes her head out. Someone calls to her and she answers back. You wait to learn what's going on. "Okay, it looks like you folks are going to have to get off for a bit. But don't worry, this place is full of attractions." You file off with everyone else. She hops out and starts walking toward the front of the train. You look around and a sign catches your eye.

Most Beautiful: Pocket Writing
Most Helpful: Never Feel Bad About Squashing A.N.T.s Again
Most Popular: Bess Weatherby - Closet Novelist
Most Controversial: This Message is Brought to You By Brooke's Inability to Write Book Reviews
Most Successful: Where's the Finish Line? -Pointing- It's Behind Me
Most Underrated: If You Give Your Muse a Makeover
Most Prideworthy: First Rejection

A shrill whistle signals that it's time to return to the train. And you'd been having such fun. Oh, well. You'll have just as much fun where you're headed. You climb back onto the train, at a normal pace this time, and resume your seat. The conductor plops down next to you. "Don't mind if I sit here do you?" You shake your head.

"Thanks," she smiles then turns around to face the seats. "We will now continue on to Steph Sinkhorn. You lucky ducks who are getting off here are in for a real treat. The town is holding its annual Agent Carnival. You'll have lots of chances to win books and other prizes."

When the train stops, there's a holdup at the door as everyone tries to push through at once. "One at a time. One at a time," the conductor orders from her seat.

The train is strangely quiet as it starts moving again. "People do love a good book." The conductor sure is a talker. "Personally, my favorite is the next stop. Music is more my thing." She raises her voice. "If you're getting off at the Sarah Pearson station, better get ready."

There's a big welcome sign at the edge of town and another one at the station and another as you pass back out into the open countryside. "Friendly people, Pearsonians."

Suddenly it goes dark. You look out the window to see a cluster of clouds swarming the sun. "Of course, they have to be. Otherwise they would never be able to live so close to their demonic neighbors."

"Yvie Gonya. If you want off, you're going to have to jump. No stops here." The conductor leans over you, gazing out the window. "Looks like the carnival's in town here, too. I pity the fools that go for those prizes however."

You and the conductor are the last ones left in the car now. It feels strange to sit there with all the empty seats behind you. You're anxious for your stop. "Figment." You hop up. The conductor stands to open the doors for you. "Don't forget, you have to register at the gate before you can get to the main attraction. And here's a pamphlet for more information." The conductor shoves a piece of paper into your hand.

You step off the train, and immediately it's off, heading on to its afternoon stops.

Decapitated Teddies and Crit Partners and Rules. Oh My!

I've got a secret. But I'll let you in on it. You know if you want. -looks around- About a month ago, I got -takes deep breath- a critique partner. Or two (one for each WIP, you understand). Their names? A secret isn't enough for you? Now I have to give you names, too? -huffs- Fine. -leans in close- Their names are Christina and Steph.

Recently, Steph (you know, my critique partner) passed along the Liebster Blog award. And guess who she gave it to? -points to self and mouths 'me'- How did you know?

There's one more thing I need to tell you concerning the award, but be warned, it is something so frightful you may sleep with a nightlight for the rest of your life. Those with squeamish stomachs might want to look away. Are you ready? Are you clenching a pillow in terror? Me too.

There are rules!

It's okay to admit that you screamed. -clears throat- But we're in up to our ears now, there's no going back.
  1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
  2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
  3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
  4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
  5. And most of all - have bloggity-blog fun!
Steph, I'm so sorry to have drug you into this, really I am, but in accordance to the -shudders- rules I must thank you. Thank you, Steph. You're a true liebster. (See rules don't just affect one person, they affect everyone.)

Whew! That wasn't so bad. What did you guys think? -looks at decapitated teddy bear- I see. Well, risking more danger to poor Teddy, we must move forward.

I'm going to let you in on another secret, the following five bloggers must have under 200 followers. I know, you're biting your fingernails at the scaryfyingness of this new rule. But I promise, we'll get through this. Even if we all end up with nubs.
  1. J at Concrete Pieces of Soul
  2. Teralyn Pilgrim at A Writer's Journey
  3. Izzy at I s a b e l l a
  4. Marlena Cassidy at The Words Behind the Writer
  5. Ella at Musings in Ink
Anyone need smelling salts? Anyone? No. Good. Oh wait, sorry I missed you in the back. I have some good news for you though, that may be better than smelling salts. We can skip over rule #3 because I already did that myself. Please, please, quiet down. I have one more thing to say. Anyone have a soapbox? Ah, thank you.

The five poor souls that I have passed this award onto, will have to face the -shudders- rules. But I have faith in them. I have faith that they will work through this and they will pass it on to others because there is nothing to fear, but fear itself. And to learn that, we must first face our fears. So have faith! And thank your lucky stars if you have over 200 followers.

Look at that. We completed rule four and you didn't even notice. You know, I've enjoyed watching you defeat your fears. It's been fun, this journey of ours. Which, guess what? Come closer. Closer. We've done everything the rules said so we can go back to normal where we do whatever the hell we please. Mwhahahaha!

Wait, before you leave, there's one more thing.

Deirdra Coppel also gave me an award. One that I consider to be very special since she has to give it to you herself (this is because she created it), since she has to think you deserve it. The Powerful Woman Writer Award

And guess what (we're doing lots of guessing today)? There are no rules. Geez, I could hear your sigh of relief all the way through the computer.

Seriously? Seriously.

The seriously generous Michael Offutt gave me a puppy! Isn't he cute? I've named him Piers.

Now, Piers isn't just an ordinary dog. Quite the contrary. He's a genius. And genii require things that will stimulate their brains. So, pertaining to Piers' needs, I've composed a small list of books, films, and television shows.

Treat #1: Fallout by Ellen Hopkins. I love her novels. She's a very creative poet and she's not afraid to approach hard topics. I can't wait until her next novel, Perfect, comes out in September.

Treat #2: Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. To see how all the tapes came together excited me as a writer. To see the emotional responses of the main character moved me as a reader.

Treat #3: The Nanny. My guilty pleasure. It may not be exactly 'stimulating', but every genius could use a laugh now and then.

Treat #4: The Voice. It's an interesting concept. They choose their contestants by their voice without ever looking at them. They judge by talent not appearance.

Treat #5: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2. They put more detail into these last two movies since they were trying to stretch them out. Personally, I wished they would have done the same with the earlier movies.

The rest of Piers' litter mates could also use homes and I know a few people who might like a [genius] puppy.

Madeline & Alberta are Lovely (And so am I!)

Warning: This post may contain an overuse of the word lovely and its variations.

See that? -pokes award- It was given to me by two (yes, two) lovely bloggers: Madeline at Capricious Existence and Alberta at alberta's sefuty chronicles. Isn't that just the loveliest thing?

And another thing that is just as lovely, is the fact that I have to do nothing to receive this award. See, see, see?

  1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.
  2.  Pay it forward to fifteen other blogs you have newly discovered.
  3.  Contact those blog owners and let them know they've been chosen.
Okay, so I do have to do a few things... But! I don't have to list things about myself so henceforth this award requires less brain power! Now, I'm going to use some of that saved brain power to list fifteen (or you know, thirteen) lovely bloggers that deserve this award.
  1. Teralyn @ A Writer's Journey
  2. Anna @ an illustrated writer
  3.  Ella @ Ella's Muse
  4. Tizzy @ Impossible Dreams
  5. Alex @ Kore Averna
  6. Michael @ SLC Kismet
  7. Charity @ My Writer's Journey
  8. Michelle @ Perfecting the craft...
  9. Sari @ Confessions of an Aspiring Author
  10. Izzy @ Virtual Bookshelf
  11. Trisha @ W O R D + S T U F F

Two Birds, One Stone (Or Post)

Trisha at W O R D + S T U FF has been kind enough to give me another award, The Stylish Blogger Award. You may remember that I have already received this award, but who's to say that I can't fulfill the requirements all over again? What are those requirements? Here's a refresher.

Requirements:
1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 or so recently discovered great bloggers.
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.

Sounds easy enough. As a matter of fact, I've already completed number one. XD So on to number two. For this requirement, I'm actually going to kill two birds with one stone. The seven things I'm going to list are going to be things from my Crusader Challenge post. Afterward, I'll reveal the lie.
  1. Yes, I eat my apples upside down (and to clarify, the apple is upside down, not me).
  2. Yes, I have a problem with staring off into space. Sometimes people get in the way.
  3. Yes, I do have eyes that look crazy (they're each a different color).
  4. Yes, I love the feel of paper.
  5. Yes, I cannot stand to see anyone stabbed.
  6. Yes, I really am afraid sometimes that I have no feelings.
  7. Yes, I am OCD (I'm certain that I do).
So what's the lie? I DO NOT speak quietly. At all. I'm actually very loud. Lizzie swears she's going deaf because of it. A lot of you picked that. Do I seem like the loud kind of person?

OMG! We're to number three already? Well, we're just moving right along now, aren't we? I don't know if I'll have fifteen blogs I want to award (that haven't already received it) but all the blogs I do pick have certainly earned it.
  1. Teralyn at A Writer's Journey
  2. Michael Offut at SLC Kismet
  3. Charity Bradford at My Writing Journey
  4. Stephanie Skeem at The Writing Garden
  5. Angela Scott at Whimsy, Writing, and Reading
Now, I'm off to perform duty/requirement number four. Here's to hoping we all have a wonderful day.

    Awards!

The other day as I was reading a post at W O R D + S T U F F, I found out that I had won my first award! The Versatile Blogger Award! I wasn't able to post about it right away because I was at a friend's house. Then as I was checking out my comments, I learned that I had received a second award from a friend at Virtual Bookshelf. This one, the Stylish Blogger Award. Thank you so much to Trisha and Izzy. ^^

    Requirements:
    1. Link to the blogger who gave you the award.
    2. Share 7 things about yourself.
    3. Pass the award to 15 bloggers recently discovered.
    4. Notify the blogger recipients.

    Requirements:
    1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award.
    2. Share 7 things about yourself.
    3. Award 15 or so recently discovered great bloggers.
    4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.

So as you probably could see, these awards are pretty similar with their requirements. I've contemplated over whether to tell seven things about myself and have that counted for both or tell seven for each. I've decided to do seven for each. This should be fun.

    The Versatile Blogger:
    1. My birthday is February 4th. This means that my birthday is on the Superbowl every now and then. Which leads us to number...
    2. I hate football. I'm not a very sportsy person to begin with and having my birthday so dangerously close to the Superbowl does not help the matter.
    3. My feet are only a size 3. I still have to shop in the children's section to buy shoes. Here's to hoping Selena Gomez will wear out of my flats eventually.
    4. My book list currently says that I own 457 books. I'm planning to check that over soon so it's subject to change.
    5. I read the seventh Harry Potter book in less than 24 hours, probably somewhere between five and seven hours actually.
    6. I have never made a 0 on a paper. My lowest grade ever was a 10. XD
    7. My favorite color ranges from purple to not having one.
    Stylish Blogger Award:
    1.  I don't like cinnamon. No, not even cinnamon rolls.
    2. My family has two dogs (Apollo and Mason), eleven hamsters (Cleopatra, Leopold, and Romeo are the only ones with names; the other eight are made up of two recent litters), and one bobtail cat (Jezabelle).
    3. I'm a neat freak about clutter. Everything has to be in the spot it goes or else it itches at me.
    4. I can type more than 80 words a minute.
    5. My favorite Harry Potter character is Luna Lovegood. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a crazy?
    6. I collect porcelain dolls. I currently have eight.
    7. I have a great-great uncle who has the same birthday as me.
Now I get to award these awards. I makes me feel so important. XD I don't think I'll be able to come up with fifteen blogs but the blogs I do award to deserve it.
