Good-bye

wind blew through
those rickety ol' skeleton branches
and the slants of moonlight
fell symmetrically across his face
until my shadow covered it instead

his cheek tasted salty under my lips
but the tears weren't really mine
to claim so that kiss was the only good-bye
left behind as the door clicked shut

  3. I like this poem. It's a lot different than anything you've written this month. It's really awesome. (Let me guess - you figured I would. xD)

  4. Thank you. More recently I've been experimenting with so many things. I find it quite wonderful and very enjoyable.
